Ep. 11 Re-cap

Candice kisses Adum good-bye.You're A Rat

Reward Challenge
Survivor Auction, they could share money but not share food.
Becky, with help from Yul, buys a mystery note which givers her the choice of who goes to Exile Island (and take that person's money), she chooses Candice. Yul reveals that he has the Hidden Immunity Idol.

Exile Island - Candice (her fourth time).

Immunity Challenge
AdamSurvivor Memory Trivia Quiz / Puzzle. There's math too, but no fractions; there is some gazintas. Pavarti, Adam and Jonathan make it to the finals.
Adam (pictured) won Immunity

Scheming Is Free
Candice says that it looks like she's the one going to be voted off. Old Raro try and appeal to Yul's sense of decency to vote off Jonathan instead - I don't think it worked.

Tribal Council
JonathanThe focus was on Jonathan (pictured) and his not sharing the fish. Things got pretty hot and Nate looked on with glee at all the grief Jonathan was getting.

Voted Off Candice

Candice's Final Words
CandiceWow . . . I had a fabulous time . . . I'm proud of the way I played the game, I can look myself in the mirror . . . that little kiss with Adam was a nice way to leave, we have something real . . .

Jeff's Final Words

Well, I think tonight's Tribal Council speaks for itself.

Water CoolerWater-cooler Talk
Here's what they'll be talking about at work in the morning.

I thought Parvati was a nice person but she said that she felt like throwing up on Jonathan's face. And 28 days out there and she doesn't know how to gut a fish?

Why did Yul reveal at the Auction that he has the Hidden Immunity Idol? Was it to really demoralize Candice? Or did everybody kind of know already so why not just bring it out in the open?

Did you see the look on Yul's face when Becky sent Candice to Exile Island again? It looked like he thought Adam should have gone.

How about the Jonathan-Candice confrontation over sharing fish?

The long kiss good-bye between Candice and Adam. Who's kidding who, this is just another showmance.

Preview Episode 11 and Commentary

You're A Rat
One tribe member is berated for their vote at the last Tribal Council, causing others to plot this Survivor's exit from the game. Can this Survivor save themselves from elimination?

At the Reward Challenge, the Survivors are left stunned when one of them reveals some shocking news to the group.

The Immunity Challenge tests the Survivors' recollection of the past thirty days of the game. Which Survivor's memory will serve them well and keep them safe for another week?

At Exile Island, one tribe member's spirit takes a beating. How will their seclusion from the tribe affect their morale?

Emotions run high when one alliance decides to eat dinner alone without including the other tribe-mates. Will this behavior work in their favor or make them bigger targets?

Rumors
Reward Challenge - auction.
Exile Island - Becky.
Immunity Challenge - Ozzy.
Voted Off - Candice.

Commentary
I think Jonathan can still win this but to do so he needs to be sitting in the final two with someone who never really was seen as having played the game - like Candice or Sundra. Jonathan may even stand a chance of winning if he's in the final two with Becky or Adam.

Candice voted off next? Why not Adam (aka Adumb)? He may not be the smartest one out there but he is a threat to win a physical Immunity Challenge, certainly that's more likely than Candice winning Immunity.

The Ten-Survivor Jury still has me thinking. How about two Survivors in the final as usual (I previously speculated on three finalists) with viewers voting for an eleventh vote? Jeff could reveal the results of the online voting (and text message voting) in the event that the Jury is split 5-5. That would be some drama, wouldn't it?

Ep. 10 Re-cap

NathanWhy Would You Trust Me?
(An abbreviated re-cap due to Thanksgiving)

Reward Challenge
No Reward Challenge - Merge! (No Exile Island too)
Party on a boat to celebrate.

Immunity Challenge (now individual)
Endurance - hanging on a pole.
Ozzy won, Candice was second.

Scheming Is Free
YulYul (pictured) needs to flip one of the old Raros and chooses to work on Jonathan because he says Jonathan is the most logical when it comes to the game. Here's the offer that Jonathan could not refuse: Old Raro is planning to vote for Yul, Yul has the Immunity Idol, old Aitu will vote for Jonathan. So after Yul uses the Idol at Tribal Council then Jonathan will be the one to leave.

JonathanJonathan (pictured) tries to talk with old Raro hypothetically about Yul having the Immunity Idol but they all either don't want to talk about the possibility or say there is no way Yul has the Idol. This leaves Jonathan no choice really but to go along with Yul's plan. Also Yul says that he'd like to be in the final two with Jonathan because now Jonathan has betrayed everyone.

Yul lets Jonathan pick who to be voted off and Jonathan picks Nate because he really doesn't get along with him.

Voted Off Nate

Why Would You Trust Me?
One Survivor's leadership style quickly begins to annoy their fellow tribe-mates, who would rather work at their own pace. This Survivor knows their team must work if they want to win the Immunity Challenge. Will they be able to motivate their tribe or will their pushy ways put them in jeopardy?

When another shocking surprise is revealed to the other Survivors, the lines are quickly drawn between tribe-mates. Will the Survivors stay true to their alliances or will this news stir up the game?

Yul reveals his possession of the hidden Immunity Idol to a few select tribe-mates. How will this information affect his position around camp?

One Survivor considers betraying their alliance at Tribal Council and voting out an ally, a decision that will cause drama back at camp. Which way will they vote?

Rumors
It's no secret that the merge is this episode. I'll post any rumors that I get before Thursday's show airs.

Ep. 9 Re-cap

People That You Like Want to See You Suffer

RebeccaJenny

Jonathan regrets mutinying. Candace and Adam are bonding.

Reward Challenge
Find buried chests which have pieces to a puzzle in them.
Reward: local feast.
Aitu won Reward and they chose Candice to go to Exile Island.
Rebecca, Nate and Parvati sit out.

There were 4 chests to find and Aitu had their 4 when Raro had found just 2 of theirs.

CandiceExile Island: Candice. She has a tough time and is on the verge of tears as she utters the episode's title.

The local feast looked like fun. The Survivors were welcomed with a parade and singing.

Immunity Challenge
Swimming and puzzle about island names.
Aitu won Immunity. Four challenges won in a row.
Raro also get a bottle with a message in it to be opened at Tribal Council after they have voted.

Scheming Is Free
The focus seems to be on Rebecca. Adam mentions Jenny to be the target after Rebecca. Nate also says Rebecca makes sense.

Tribal Council
Talk is about losing challenges, Raro have won just three so far. Everyone seems positive and vows to fight on. Jonathan manages to get in that he's a fishing machine (22 fish in 2 days, I think he said).

RebeccaVoted Off Rebecca (pictured right)

ParvatiMessage in the Bottle
Parvati reads the message which says to now vote someone else off, "that's not fun . . . that's not a merge, not cool" she says.

JennyVoted Off Jenny (pictured right)

Water CoolerWater Cooler Talk
Here's what they'll be talking about at work in the morning.

OK, I may be a little slow but aren't there like 10 people for the jury? Right? Four on Aitu, 5 on Raro and three on the Jury already, minus the 2 presumed finalists. Perhaps there will be three finalists and the 9 person Jury will vote on them?

Do you think Raro really missed Brad's puzzle-solving skills? I don't think so either.

People That You Like Want to See You Suffer
One Survivor hopes that their efforts to provide for their tribe will protect them from elimination, despite being low on the totem pole.

A festive prize is up for grabs at the Reward Challenge. Will one tribe's bickering and inability to work together cost them the Reward or can they pull it together to win big?

Emotions run high as one Survivor is betrayed by friends and unanimously banished to Exile Island.

One tribe worries that another member has mentally checked out of the game. Will their lack of enthusiasm put them on the chopping block?

At the end of the Immunity Challenge, the losers receive a message in a bottle that's not to be opened until Tribal Council. How will that message change the course of the game?

Rumors
Double eviction tonight. Merge next week.

Driftwood 8

Why Mutiny?
I think Candice just wanted to be with Adam. The five of them - Candice, Jonathan, Yul, Becky, Sundra - had just sworn to each other (with all present) that they would be the final five. With the merge coming soon enough it only makes sense to get rid of Ozzy next, would anyone logically want to compete with him for individual immunity? So why did Candice think she was so vulnerable? Candice just wanted to get back together with Adam, she is a stupid player.

And Jonathan? I don't think he had much choice after Candice decided to switch tribes. He has been the target for elimination in the past and he knew it. Jonathan's surest alliance was with Candice so when she flipped tribes then he had to follow. Also I think he and Candice were going to try and re-form an alliance with Adam and Parvati anyway (screwing Yul and Becky), this just sped that up a bit.

More Evidence Candice is a Stupid Player
CandiceOK, Candice (pictured) switched tribes and Jonathan followed her. Now assume for a minute that she had a plan - to have an alliance with Adam and Parvati. So why did Candice then tell Adam the not-so-nice things Jonathan has said about him, putting a strain on the alliance? The only reason that I can think of is that Candice is possibly one of the stupidest contestants to ever play Survivor. I mean really, she just switched tribes and then she pissed off the few people that just may be sympathetic to her and Jonathan?! That's really, really stupid Candice.

Ep. 8 Re-cap

BradMutiny

Reward Challenge
Food, coffee, letters from home.
Barrel roll obstacle course (including water). Several Survivors were inside big barrels and had to be rolled and floated through a course.
CandiceAitu won Reward and they chose Candice to go to Exile Island.

Exile Island: Candice.

Immunity Challenge
Glass bottom boat, bowling balls release buoys with puzzle pieces.
Aitu won Immunity. Yul figured out a good way to target the bowling balls.

Scheming Is Free
AdamIs Brad the target? It looks that way. The reasoning as explained by Adam (pictured) to Nate is that after the merge Jonathan can't re-form an alliance with Aitu but Brad possibly can.

Tribal Council
NathanTalk was of the mutiny. Candice said she switched because Raro have a good time and win when it counts [at least she's smart enough not to mention Adam]. Nate (pictured) said he's concerned because Candice can play and Jonathan is a leader but that they don't like leaders on Raro [anarchy!]. Brad concludes by saying that he doesn't trust anyone in the tribe [and then is voted off].

Voted Off Brad

Water CoolerWater Cooler Talk
Here's what they'll be talking about at work in the morning.

Did you see how Yul sighted the bowling balls? He's so smart, s-m-r-t.

What is next week's "never seen before twist"? It has something to do with a message in a bottle.

Preview Episode 8

Mutiny
A major twist [the mutiny] at the Reward Challenge results in betrayal and leaves one tribe stunned. How will this turn of events affect the Survivors' morale?

Banished to Exile Island, one Survivor worries about being away from the tribe at a crucial bonding time.

One Survivor desperately tries to fit in with their tribe, but suddenly finds they're on the outside.

One tribe bonds over sharing mementos from home while the other struggles to find common ground.

Rumors
The Mutiny of the episode's title is an offer from Jeff to the Survivors to change tribes if they so choose. This is to be done at the Reward Challenge.

Talk online is that Jonathan and Candice will change tribes. Why? Candice probably just wants to be back together with Adam; Jonathan probably feels a target on his back. Jonathan is also rumored to be the one exiled, probably because of his mutiny. Aitu wins both challenges and Brad is voted off at tribal council, that's the chatter anyway.

Ep. 7 Re-cap

JessicaWhy aren't you swimming?

Reward Challenge
Swim, break tiles, get keys, puzzle (map of world). Reward is potatoes and peanut butter (and to select someone for Exile).
Aitu won Reward. Raro didn't even start on their puzzle. Ozzy was a swimming machine. During the competition Nate shouted to Brad "Why aren't you swimming?" Brad replied "Because I'm better at puzzles."

Exile Island: Adam.

Immunity Challenge
An elaborate obstacle course with a puzzle at the end.
Raro won Immunity but it was close.

Scheming Is Free
Jonathan, Ozzy, Flica? Looks like Flica.

Tribal Council
Nothing really out of the ordinary. They talked a little bit about how race/ethnicity isn't an issue since the mixing of tribes. They talked what a nice tribe-mate Flica is but Yul noted that those types of players can be dangerous.

Voted Off
Flica

Water CoolerWater Cooler Talk
Here's what they'll be talking about at work in the morning.

Are you kidding me, Ozzy caught a live bird with his bare hands?!

Preview Episode 7

Why aren't you swimming?
At an extremely physical Reward Challenge, a Survivor collapses [Rebecca?] out of exhaustion, leaving the burden of completing the challenge to their other tribemates.

One Survivor [Adam or Jenny?] confronts another [Brad?] about their choice to sit out of the physical portion of the Reward Challenge, blaming the loss on them. How will this decision affect their position in the game?

With little shelter available, a raging storm makes one Survivor's trip to Exile Island a nightmare.

One Survivor [Ozzy?] brings a seabird back to camp after having caught it with their bare hands. Can they convince their fellow tribe members that their strength around camp is an asset or will they quickly make themselves a target?

Rumors
Aitu win Reward? Screen caps seem to indicate it.
Exile: Brad, Adam, Nate?
No real indication of which tribe wins Immunity, strong suspicion Raro win. Most likely to be voted off: Flica and Brad.

The next double Tribal Council will be in 2 weeks. The merge is rumored to be Thanksgiving week.
